1. **Use the right bit**: Carbide-tipped or diamond-tipped drill bits only.
Never use standard masonry bits on tile.
2. **Start slow**: Begin at low speed (no hammer mode) with light,
steady pressure.
3. **Mark with tape**: Place masking tape over the drill point —
it prevents the bit from slipping across the tile surface.
4. **Check behind the tile**: Confirm the substrate (drywall, cement board,
or stud) can support your mirror’s weight.
