Front-Lit LED Mirror Specifications

Specification Available or Listed Options Confirm Before Ordering
LED, driver & color rendering 2835 SMD LED; CRI 80+ or CRI 90+ options; LED-strip efficacy listed at 90–100 lm/W. Current model specifications also list TÜV / UL LED driver options. Confirm the LED and driver specification, CRI grade, wattage and lighting output for the selected model and size. Component ratings do not certify the complete mirror.
Color temperature 3000K / 4000K / 6000K are common selectable settings; 5000K is listed on selected models. Confirm the exact CCT settings and switching sequence included in the quoted configuration.
Brightness control 10%–100% dimming on compatible models; stepless touch dimming is listed on selected designs. Confirm the actual dimming range, control method, setting memory and any external wall-dimmer requirement.
Anti-fog Integrated demister available on compatible models; model 3121-L specifically lists a PET electric heating film. Confirm the heated area, power, control method and whether the demister operates with or separately from the light.
Bathroom protection The verified Front-Lit examples list IP44 / Damp Location. Higher-IP configurations are subject to model confirmation. Confirm the IP rating of the complete mirror for the intended bathroom zone and destination market. An internal LED strip’s IP rating is not the finished mirror’s IP rating.
Electrical input Configurations for common 120V and 220–240V markets; hardwired or plug-in connection depending on the model and market. Confirm input voltage, frequency, driver, plug or wiring method and applicable local electrical requirements.
Mirror construction 5 mm copper-free silver mirror and safety-film options are listed on current models. Confirm glass thickness, edge or frame finish and required safety backing for the selected design.
Compliance CE, RoHS, UKCA and ETL documentation is available for relevant LED mirror configurations and markets. Request the certificates or test reports that cover the selected model and complete electrical configuration before production.

Send the product code, dimensions, quantity and destination country with your enquiry. STANHOM will confirm the compatible lighting, electrical, anti-fog, IP and compliance configuration before quotation or sample approval.

How to Evaluate a Front-Lit LED Mirror

A front-lit mirror should be evaluated from the viewing position, not from a feature list alone. The position, width and shape of the illuminated area affect light distribution, usable mirror space and viewing comfort.

For vanity installations, consider face height, basin or furniture width, viewing distance and surrounding room lighting. For full-length designs, check that the illuminated outline supports the intended viewing area without becoming visually dominant.

A useful sample review asks three simple questions:

  • Is the face evenly lit from the intended position?
  • Is the reflection comfortable to view at the required brightness?
  • Does the light-band design leave enough clear mirror area?

Light-Band Design Is Part of the Specification

Two mirrors with the same dimensions can look and perform differently when the light-band layout changes. Define the position, width and proportions before controls and optional functions are finalized.

Decision Why it matters What to send us
Light-band position Side bands, a perimeter outline or another front-light layout place light differently around the viewing area. A reference image or marked drawing
Band width The visible width changes the character of the mirror and the balance between lighting area and reflection. Preferred width or desired visual effect
Mirror proportions Width, height and orientation affect both the usable reflection and the appearance of the illuminated pattern. Overall dimensions and mounting direction
Control placement Touch icons should sit where they are easy to reach without interfering with the main viewing area. Preferred control side and required functions

If a drawing is not ready, send a reference photo and the required dimensions. We can review the light-band layout before final confirmation.

Plan Front-Lit Mirrors for Retail or Project Orders

RETAIL & PRIVATE LABEL

Start with the models you want to sell together, then define which details should stay consistent across the range.

  • Select the main shapes and sizes for the collection.
  • Keep the light-band style and control layout consistent across related models.
  • Use frame finish, size or selected functions to create different product levels.
  • Confirm logo, labels, manuals and packaging for the private-label range.

PROJECT ORDERS

For hotels and residential projects, begin with the installation schedule instead of selecting mirrors one by one.

  • List the room type, mirror size and quantity required for each location.
  • Confirm the destination market, input voltage and hardwired or plug-in connection.
  • Define required controls, dimming, color temperature and anti-fog functions.
  • Confirm the required IP rating and compliance documents for the selected configuration.

Front-Lit, Backlit or Both?

FRONT-LIT

Light Directed Forward

Choose a front-lit mirror when forward illumination and a visible illuminated area on the mirror face are central to the brief.

BACKLIT LED Mirror

BACKLIT

Light Reflected onto the Wall

Choose a backlit mirror when the desired effect is mainly a concealed light source reflecting onto the wall.

FRONT & BACKLIT LED Mirror

FRONT & BACKLIT

Forward Light + Wall Glow

Choose a front-and-backlit mirror when the design intentionally combines forward light with a rear wall glow.

These options describe light direction. Final brightness and visual effect depend on the selected configuration and installation environment.

What to Include in Your Front-Lit Mirror Enquiry

You do not need a finished engineering file to start. To prepare an accurate quotation and configuration review, please include the following information:

1

Product direction — selected model, reference image or preferred shape.

2

Dimensions — overall width, height and mounting orientation.

3

Front-light design — light-band position, visual style and preferred color temperature.

4

Required functions — on/off, dimming, color-temperature control and anti-fog requirements.

5

Order details — quantity, destination market and target delivery timing.

6

Brand requirements — logo, label, manual and packaging requirements, where applicable.

STANHOM will review the selected design and confirm compatible electrical, installation and compliance requirements for the destination market.

CUSTOM ORDER PROCESS

Sample Approval Before Production

For custom front-lit mirror orders, a sample can be prepared based on the agreed design and configuration. Confirm the light-band appearance, mirror finish, dimensions and control functions before approving the sample.
The approved sample and final specifications serve as the reference for batch production.

FAQ

Front-Lit LED Mirror Questions

Find answers to common questions about front-lit LED mirrors, including lighting design, customization options, available functions, samples and wholesale ordering.

STANHOM Logo - FAQ
What makes an LED mirror front-lit?
A front-lit mirror directs light forward through an illuminated area in the mirror face, commonly a frosted band or outline. Backlit mirrors primarily create a glow on the wall behind the mirror.
Is a brighter front-lit mirror always better?
No. Visual comfort, light distribution, color rendering, viewing distance and surrounding room lighting all affect the result. Select a configuration that provides suitable illumination without uncomfortable glare.
How do I choose the position and width of the light band?
Start with the mirror dimensions, primary viewing area and preferred design. Send us a reference image or marked drawing so the light-band layout can be reviewed against the usable mirror area and internal structure.
Can you develop a coordinated front-lit mirror range for our brand?
Yes. We can review compatible shapes, sizes, lighting layouts, controls, frames, branding and packaging for wholesale and private-label orders. Final combinations depend on the selected models and sample approval.
Can dimming, adjustable color temperature and anti-fog be included?
These functions are available in compatible configurations but are not standard on every model. Please confirm the required functions and control method before ordering.
Can I order a sample before a wholesale order?
Yes. Send us the selected model or reference design, dimensions, required functions and destination market. We will confirm the sample configuration, cost and delivery arrangement.
What is the MOQ for front-lit LED mirrors?
Our usual MOQ is 20 pieces per model. Minimum quantities for trial orders, customized specifications and private-label requirements should be confirmed with our sales team.
